How will cities adapt after the coronavirus pandemic?
Join The Review this Thursday 7:30 pm EST/ Friday 8:30 am KST (yes, this is right, owing to the time difference, it will be an event on two different days) for a discussion on city planning, coronavirus and the future. Coming to chat are two experts from two different sides of the world:
Justin Garrett Moore is an urban designer and the Executive Director of the Public Design Commission in New York City. He has extensive experience in urban design and city planning—from large-scale urban systems, policies, and projects to grassroots and community-focused planning, design, and arts initiatives.
Myunggu Kang is a professor of Urban Planning and Development at the University of Seoul. He attained his doctorate in Urban and Regional Planning and a Master’s degree in City Planning from MIT. He has participated in urban development projects in South Korea, Kenya, Laos, the Philippines, and Boston.
Madeleine Schwartz will be moderating, the editor and creator of the Ballot. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The London Review of Books, The Guardian, Harper’s, Politico, The Nation, Elle, Artforum, and The New York Review of Books, where she worked as an editor for several years.
Sign up here. A digital link and suggested reading will be sent to participants before the event.
We are excited to co-host this event with the The Ballot, a publication committed to publishing stories about every 2020 election not in America.
