We are excited to be welcoming one of our largest audiences this year for tonight’s conversation, grounds for play, hosted by Urban Omnibus and New York Review of Architecture with Mariana Mogilevich, Julia Jacquette, and Marie Warsh about public space and playgrounds. Some logistics.
Most of you are joining us remotely by zoom: find the zoom link here.
For those joining us in person, we will be at Head Hi Bookstore, in Brooklyn at 14 Clermont Ave.
Because of the cold weather, we will be meeting inside. This means you will need to show proof of vaccination, and the audience will be masked. Head Hi is cozy - so if you would like to guarantee a good seat, try to come a little bit early. And still dress warmly - there is an outdoor area we will use for socializing before and after the talk.
For those who who would like to support the bookstore and read the books we are discussing tonight, you can purchase them on Head Hi’s online bookstore, link here (The book by Julia Jacquette, Playground of My Mind, is out of print, but we will have a few copies available in person tonight).
We are also offering our event day special on subscriptions! This event will be free to attend. For those of you who would like to support our work, and receive New York Review of Architecture by post, subscribe today and use NYRA25 to receive 25% off your first three issues. For those joining remotely, we will put a copy of our current issue, #23, featuring a 10.5” x 17” print by Krzysztof Wodiczko, in the mail for you. For those coming in person, we will be able to give you an issue when you come tonight.
Four desk editors run NYRA: Alex Klimoski, Phillip Denny, Carolyn Bailey & Nicolas Kemper (who also serves as the publisher).
