Hello,
This week in New York architecture features a number of online events as well as two major museum reopenings: The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. If you wish to cover any of these events for The Review, please contact us at editor@nyra.nyc.
In addition to the long awaited return of our art institutions, we are interested to hear about new online events including the Black Designers Ignite Inaugural Event, which will feature “thirty Black designers showcasing design work using the ‘ignite talk’ format.”
From the event description:
Our purpose is to celebrate Black designers by providing space for them to show off their portfolios while earning in the process. We believe HR and current hiring processes are outdated and we are reimagining how bipoc designers start and grow their design careers. We are building a platform for all Black designers to thrive. We exist to celebrate and amplify Black excellence in design.
It is a $30 ticket, and be sure to tell your friends, as 100% of ticket sales will be divided up between the presenters. If you cannot attend yourself, you can also donate a ticket and it will be distributed to a person who may not otherwise be able to attend.
The theme will be transitions.
