Friends of the Review,
Our June issue, No. 12, is mailing out this week — subscribe by the end of tomorrow – Friday, and we will send you a printed copy, including a special edition poster of Diller + Scofidio’s 1981 installation “Traffic." In solidarity with the ongoing protests, if you donate $20 or more to an anti-racism organization of your choosing (please consider giving to Black Visions Collective, Movement for Black Lives, or the Black Journalism Fund), send us your receipt and we will send you a pdf of the issue. For our new and existing subscribers, if you make a donation we will include the back-issues of No. 10 and No. 11 (above) in your envelope.
Guest editors Phillip Denny and Carolyn Bailey have been working for months to bring you No. 12, “Untimely Reviews,” a retrospective look at New York architecture’s recent past.
It includes contributions from Liz Diller, Gina Ciancone, Marrikka Trotter, Frida Vogel with John Nichols, Hanan Kataw, Chris Gardner, Matthew Allen, and Dora Epstein Jones.
For the first time, we have actually put some of the articles online to share:
Katie Okamoto on Maya Lin’s Museum of Chinese in America
Ben Dooley on Storefront’s “Homeless at Home” exhibition
Gina Ciancone on Deep Blue Sea
Again, to receive the issue by post, please subscribe. For all of you who are already subscribed, thank you for your continued support.
