Hello readers,
Issue #31 has done pretty darn well. Bookstores are doubling and tripling their issue orders, we have had record subscription sales, Witold Rybczynski wrote about it on his blog and a major cultural publication (yes, larger even than NYRA - they are out there) has asked us to reprint an excerpt from one of the essays in their own upcoming issue. One reader told us they were surprised at how well the print delivers on the cool attitude we project online. They thought we were bluffing. We do not bluff.
Issue #32 might be even better. It includes pieces by Lyta Gold, AJ Artemel, Matthew Allen, Leijia Hanrahan, Martin Pedersen, Piper French, Emily Conklin, Alex Tell, Jonah Coe-Scharff, Alex Klimoski, Gideon Fink Shapiro, Anjulie Rao, Kevin Rogan, Enrique Ramirez, Kate Wagner, Eric Schwartau and at least two drawings of rats.
Don’t believe us? Come join us this Friday, when we will all see the new issue for the first time at a party at a beer hall in Brooklyn. Doors open at 7pm and we are going to have some very special readings at 8pm.
Not yet a subscriber? Now is an excellent time to start a subscription: you will receive both our current issue, #31, and then Issue #32 .
Already a subscriber, and wondering what more you can do? There are at three options:
Gift subscriptions. Due to the amazing efforts of our web developer, we now offer the ability to give gift subscriptions: simply go to our subscribe page and, when asked “Is this subscription a gift?” click yes. You do not even need the recipient’s physical mailing address.
Table media. We are sending out free packets of issues to our most enthusiastic readers to put on our favorite social platform, tables, around the world. An amazing array of tables have already signed up. You can sign up here (or just click to chuckle at our table jokes).
Consider a sponsorship. A tight knit group of sponsors, both individuals and architecture offices, play a crucial role in keeping the publication viable. Should this interest, contact us at publisher@nyra.nyc.
Again, if you would like to come join us this Friday, please rsvp here.
Sincerely,
NYRA
